Python Dates and Times in Python (2014) Dates and Times Far Away

getting error on datetme return

What is wrong with that code. I write exactly they said in challenge but it's just giving me "Try again"........Please help

far_away.py
import datetime
def far_away(timedelta):
  datetime = timedelta + datetime.datetime.now()
  return datetime

The error is caused by using the module name datetime as a variable name. I modified your code and it passes:

import datetime
def far_away(timedlta):
  dtime = timedlta + datetime.datetime.now()
  return dtime

Thanks Chris, it worked but you said : "The error is caused by using the module name daterimr as a variable name." what is that -- daterimr. It will be great if you kindly explain that. Thank you again.

When you imported datetime it becomes an object listed in the current module namespace of objects.

Then when you assign to a variable of the same name datetime you overwrite the import in the namespace and create a local variable in its place.
