Getting Information from another Application at Run-time

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to get information from a program at run-time. The Program is ShoreTel a VoIP Phone service.

It stores call log information as .csv , I'm hoping someone could direct me to as to what area of study to look at on how to access this information without having to export the data manually after a call is completed.

Thanks for any advice! :)

If you are a software developer, and want to get the information using another program, the file format isn't important but you'll need to know what kind of API it exposes for your program to talk to it.

On the other hand, if you just want to look at CSV data, you can use any spreadsheet program like Excel. There's a new Spreadsheet Basics course here if you're not familiar with using them at all. It uses the free Google Sheets software for examples and exercises.
