Getting MySQL to work on the command line (Mac)

Here's my $PATH:

/usr/local/mysql/support-file:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/opt/X11/bin

Here's what I put into my .bash_profile:

export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/mysql/support-file

Still getting "mysql: command not found" when I type mysql in the Terminal. What am I doing wrong?

You should find that your mysql binaries are within the /usr/local/mysql/bin path. So add that to your $PATH and restart your console and you should be right.
