CSS CSS Basics (2014) Enhancing the Design With CSS Text Shadows and Box Shadows

Giving inner shadow to box-shadow

I am a bit stuck on this question. Please can someone advise how I can add an inner shadow here? I thought I could do this by adding "inset" but this hasn't worked.

Thanks in advance.

}

.main-header {

}

.title {
  text-shadow: 1px 3px 0 #e59740;
}

  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">

      <h1 class="main-heading">Lake Tahoe, California</h1>

You didn't set the second set of values like the challenge asked

Hi Eliot,

To do this you need to apply additional values in your box-shadow rule. You simply place a comma after your first box-shadow rule and create these set values shown below:

.main-header {
  box-shadow: 0 2px 15px #aaa, inset 0 0 60px 5px firebrick;
}

Happy Coding!

Hi Elliot,

I have had a run through the challenge and it seems you were nearly there.

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
.main-heading {
  text-shadow: 0 0 5px #be7b31;
}

.title {
  text-shadow: 1px 3px 0 #e59740;
}

.main-header {
  box-shadow: 0 2px 15px #aaa, inset 0 0 60px 5px firebrick;
}

An element can take more than one box-shadow value, to do this you simply separate the values with a comma. Also not the use of the keyword inset this is the definition the challenge is referring to.

Hope this helps

Craig
