I'm working through the "web design" track and I know I'm learning a lot. In fact, I've been able to troubleshoot many things on my own, and I'm not having issues with the quizzes or challenges. Prior to starting treehouse, I had absolutely no experience with coding. I know they encourage students to work on projects to practice the skills they've learned. So, I recently started to create a simple website for practice. However, I'm feeling completely lost on my own. Is there anywhere to continue with more guided practices? What should I do to get more experience?

65,469 PointsYou should always follow along the videos your watching. I found that that is very important for a beginner. Once you get more advanced, you don't really need to follow along unless it is a totally different programming language. Still, it's best to follow along even as being more advanced.
In your state, I would start over the course but skip all code challenges and parts that are really easy to you, and, of course, follow along!
If you don't like this idea, you can also try out what you learned after each stage. (Not course!)
That helps alot as well.
I hope this helps. ~Alex

6,394 PointsThank you both for your advise! I am definitely following along, and completed a website with the video that I was pretty excited about. When I went back later to create a new one from scratch I found that perhaps I didn't retain as much as I thought and was having some trouble. Being so green, I guess I just need more review. I'll try going back through just the videos and practicing more. I'm eager to keep moving along in the track, but I don't want to forget what I've learned thus far.

12,842 PointsI'd also recommend looking at other sites that are more code challenge/project oriented to try to help apply the skills you're learning at TH in a more controlled fashion instead of open-ended like you're currently attempting to do...I was recommended to the website https://www.freecodecamp.com to apply the skills learned in the Front End part of TH's program.
