Hello. I'm in the Java program and I'm taking my first challenge task. But I'm confused as to what I'm being asked..

I have to "define" a string variable...

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console

Hello Adam,

When they ask you to define a variable, like in this case a string variable, it means they want you to set it to a value. For instance, setting an integer variable would look something like this:

int integerVariable = 12;

When they ask you to define a string variable what they are really looking for is you to set a string variable to a value. Here is an example:

String myName = "Marcus";

I hope that helps,

Marcus
