General Discussion

Hey everyone! Message from Treehouse Support :)

Hello! Kara here, from the Treehouse Support Team!

We're looking to engage more with our students here on the forum, and to also get to know you as well. We'll be sending out messages like these a couple times a month with some fun 'get to know you' questions.

For this first one, we'll start with the basics :)

What made you want to start learning to code?

Now that I'm in my 40's and well established in life (if that's a thing), I'm taking time to pursue things I've always been interested in.

That's awesome, Edward! Happy coding :)

Video games. Even though I'm not into game development, ever since I was a kid I've always found it cool the fact that people could build stuff and solve problems by writing code.

Nice! What kind of video games did or do you play?

Started with Starfox, nowadays I play No Man's Sky.

Ah, good ol' Starfox :) I remember playing that game with my brother!

I've always been into logic and computers. One day a couple years back, I decided I wanted to learn how computers actually worked and so began my programming journey. I started Treehouse last year, and it has been an amazing learning experience!
