Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Create a Function

Hey there! Could you please let me know what I'm doing wrong?

def square(number) : return (number*number) result = square(3)

print (result)
squaring.py
def square(number) :
    return (number*number)

    result = square(3)

    print (result)

Hi Katarzyna! You are definitely close here. When calling a function, you cannot call it inside itself. Check your indentations :) Your result variable should be created after the function.

def square(number):
    return (number*number)

put answer here #not indented
