How am I missing the 'self' argument in this code?

This code runs fine in the console but I get an error that I have forgot the 'self' argument. What am I missing?

first_class.py 
class Student:
    name = "James"

    def praise(self):
        print('You\'re doing a great job, {}'.format(self.name))

me = Student()
me.praise()

The instructions are: The method should return a positive message. You are printing instead.
