how can we abbreviate the hex value #cc7733 it keeps giving bummer

When all 3 color values are "doubles", you can abbreviate the whole code using only one digit for each color (for a total of 3 in the code instead of 6).

So for example, if the full hex code is #99AA22, you can abbreviate it as #9A2.
