How do I create a new rule that targets the span inside another element?

I thought to tag another element onto the main element required nothing more than a space between the two words or even moving it to the next line for better organization. Please help!

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
  </head>
  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">
      <span class="title">Journey Through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1>Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
    </header>
    <div class="primary-content t-border">
      <p class="intro">
        Lake Tahoe is one of the most <span>breathtaking attractions</span> located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
      </p>
      <a href="#more">Find out more</a>
    </div>
    <footer class="main-footer">
      <p>All rights reserved to the state of <a href="#">California</a>.</p>
      <a href="#top">Back to top &raquo;</a>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

.intro {
 span

Try:

.intro span {
  font-weight: bold;
  font-style: italic;
  font-size: 1.25em;
  line-height: 1.6;
}

span needs to be before the { if you want to target it.

I tried it both of your ways and it still told me I was wrong. This is the challenge that is asks me to complete: Create a new rule that targets the span element inside .intro. Give the span element a bold font weight and an italic font style. Once I check the work the Bummer Message reads: Make sure you're selecting the intro class, and setting an em font-size value equal to 20px.. I'm not sure what to do.

try is this way

.intro span {

  font-weight: bold;
  font-style: italic;
  font-size: 1.25em;
  line-height: 1.6;
}

Hi Pablo Andre Acosta Gomez,

It looks like you need to create two separate CSS rules, one for .intro and another for .intro span.

Hope this helps. :)
