HI,
How do you choose a domain name for a specific blog? Which can become a brand later one, in the future.
I'm having a hard time to think a name for the brand, and so domain name - I suppose they should be similar, or rather the same.
I'ts about personal development.
Can't think of any that's not taken, and any that's good.
I came up with few, but they were absolutely horrible.
It should be 'simple' as well. No one is going to remember a complex name with 30characters lol
Any though, ideas? I'd appreciate it.

8,782 PointsThe somewhat extensive advice I've read on picking a domain name states to make it simple and easy to spell. Make it something that's related to the website/blog. So if your blog is about reviews on books then include that in the name. Or if it's a portfolio then make it your name. I'm in the process of picking out a name for my portfolio, but my first and last names (both maiden and married) are extremely common. So I'm thinking I'll go with my first and middle name, but I'm afraid people will have a hard time spelling "emilia".

8,782 PointsIt's a common problem now that a lot of website names are taken. It's why they've opened up new top-level domains such as ".design" and ".me"
Being brand new to this industry (I've done customer service most of my life) how do you go about giving your portfolio address? Do people ask for it and then you say it and have to spell it out? Do you find that awkward? Or do you give them a business card? I can see my family asking me what my website is and then telling them and having to spell it out and I'm afraid it'll be awkward or something lol. And I just don't want that to happen with any clients or anyone else in the same business.

10,801 PointsI'm trying to create a brand name in the field 0f personal-growth. Though many of them are taken, heck, I didn't even come up with the idea.
For my portfolio I got my full name, which 99% of people can't even spell lol though I'm reading about the domain name now.
It's hard to pick, or make one : p
but thank you
