How do you maintain a healthy diet and keep a track of your calorie intake?

This is for the researching user needs section, under experience sampling learning activity:

Could this question be a good behavioural question e.g. its customers unmet need might be being able to easily track their calories therefore a barcode and app system might help them to know better what to buy.

To keep a track of my calorie inntake I use "myfitnesspal". I don't always use it, but when I am loosing control I track my food intake for around two weeks and that helps to diagnose calories intake. How to maintain a healthy diet? that is more of a tricky question because health is very personal. My biggest health concerns related to calories consumption are related to alcohol and carbs. So reducing calories and alcohol are the main factors to keep glucose and triglicerids on healthy ranges. Again, this is MY specific case and it is applicable to around 3 percent of the population that are in a case similar to mine.
