How to connect a style sheet to an html document?

Here in the workspace, we see that there are two different tabs for a simple website. One is for text and the other one for style and formatting? How to connect them to each other, so that changes we are making and stylings we are making are applied to a certain html document?

you want to link your stylesheets in the head of the html page. <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css"> let me know if this helps.
