Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java IO

how to format string

Using the console's printf method, display a message that says, "First name: ", followed by the first name that the user has entered.

IO.java
// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
String firstName = console.readLine("What is your first name?");
String lastName = console.readLine("What is your last name?");
console.printf("First name:", "%s", firstName);

Here's an example of how you format a string (this isn't the answer to the challenge this is only a hint!):

String mathProblem = "1 + 1";
console.printf("%s is 2!", mathProblem);
console.printf("2 is also %s!", mathProblem);

Using this hint, I hope you can solve the problem! :)

Good luck! ~Alex
