Hey there Priya,

Your code is correct, you just have the first line being passed that isn't using a symbol, go ahead and delete that, to pass this step of your challenge your code should look like.

String firstName = console.readLine("What is your name?  ");
String lastName = console.readLine("What is your last name?  ");
console.printf("First name: %s\n", firstName);
