I am stuck, creating the laps function

what is wrong with my code

racecar.py 
class RaceCar:
    color = 'red'
    fuel_remaining = 'empty'

    def __init__(self,color, fuel_remaining,laps =0, **kwargs)
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        self.laps = laps
        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

    def run_lap(self, length):
        self.length = length
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining - (0.125*length)
        self.laps = laps + 1

You're really close! Only a couple of issues:

  • the "def" line for __init__ needs a colon at the end
  • the references to "fuel_remaining" and "laps" in "run_lap" need to be prefixed with "self."

And while it doesn't hurt, you don't need those lines setting literal values into "color" and "fuel_remaining".
