Courses Plus Student 36,143 PointsI can't figure out the .nav-item shorthand for transition.
I think I've tried everything here....what am I missing? I need the shorthand to make the nav-item transition over one -half second. Thanks in advance....
/* nav-item transitions ---------- */
.nav-item {
flex-grow: 1;
transition-duration: .5s;
}
.nav-item:hover {
flex-grow: 2;
}
/* nav icon transitions ---------- */
.icon {
right: -25px;
}
.nav-item:hover .icon {
right: 12%;
}

71,830 PointsYou are very close!! You just have to tell it which property:
.nav-item {
flex-grow: 1;
transition: flex-grow;
transition-duration: .5s;
}

Courses Plus Student 36,143 PointsAh, I did not think I had to repeat that information in the rule. Didn't seem concise. But, it worked. Thanks!
