i cant get this to work

what am i doing wrong

let firstName = "Sean";
let lastName = "Nichols"; 
let role = 'developer';

let msg = "Sean " + "Nichols: " + 'developer';
 let msg = ${Sean} ${Nichols}: ${role.toUpperCase()};

if you want to use the firstName, lastName, and role variable and combined them, this is how to do it.

Also in your code: ${Sean} and ${Nichols} will return undefined because Sean and Nichols are not a variable in this case. replacing them with ${firstName} and ${lastName} will fix the issue 

let msg = `${firstName} ${lastName}: ${role.toUpperCase()}`;
