Python Introducing Lists Using Lists Continental

I can't solve this challenge!

Hello,

I want to print the continents starting with the letter "A" only.

I wanna solve this challenge and your assistance is highly appreciated, however, I don't want you to solve it with complex code such as (if, join, try/except) or any other complex thing, I'm at the beginning of the course I want to learn step by step, please provide a solution close to the course level I'm taking, thank you very much for your time!

Regards.

continents.py
continents = ['Asia', 'South America', 'North America', 'Africa', 'Europe', 'Antarctica', 'Australia']
# Your code here
print ([continents])
for continent in continents:
    print ( "* "+ continent[0],[3],[-1],[-2])

Hi Zinar,

Remember you can access characters inside a string by their index position, so the first letter is at index position 0.

And then you can use an if statement to check if a continent starts with that letter (“A”). I hope this answers your question!

for continent in continents:
    if continent[0] == "A":
        print("* " + continent)
