Java Java Objects Delivering the MVP Forum

I do not understand the "args parameter" in the question 4/4 for Java Objects "Forum" questions.

Things I need clarified:

  1. What exactly is the args parameter that this question is referring to?

2.How do you connect the arguments? How is the firstName and lastName passed into it in this case?

Thank you.

Forum.java
public class Forum {
  private String topic;

  // TODO: add a constructor that accepts a topic and sets the private field topic
 public Forum(String topic){
  this.topic = topic;
    }

 public String getTopic() {
  return topic;
  }

  public void addPost(ForumPost post) {
    System.out.printf("A new post in %s topic from %s %s about %s is available",
            topic,
            post.getAuthor().getFirstName(),
            post.getAuthor().getLastName(),
            post.getTitle()
    );
  }

}

  }

  // TODO: add getters for firstName and lastName
  public String getFirstName(){

      System.err.println("<first name> and <last name> are required");
      System.exit(1);

     //Uncomment this when prompted
    Forum forum = new Forum("Java");
    // TODO: pass in the first name and last name that are in the args parameter

Your code should not pass for question 2. Your not declaring a firstName "Nick and lastName "Schroeder" In User class. Instead, by creating a constructor your allowing the object (that your going to make in class Main ) access to private variables of the class User. question 4 of 4 is asking you to plug in "Nick", "Schroeder" inside the args or parenthesis of the new object created.

public class User {

  private String firstName;
  private String lastName;

  public User(String firstName, String lastName) {

    firstName = this.firstName;
    lastName = this.lastName;
  }

  public String getFirstName() {
    return firstName;
  }

  public String getLastName() {
    return lastName;
  }
}
