I do not understand this..

How am I supposed to get this answer correct? I am just not getting it.

Lainey Phelps oh wow! You're so close on this one. Long story short: your quote marks are in the wrong place, and you have an extra space. Take a look:

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
.wildlife {
  background-image: url('img/bear.jpg');
}

The quotes need to be around the path of the file, not the entire url line. Secondly, if you have a space between the url and the parentheses it will not work. Normally, CSS isn't so picky about white space, but this is one of those make or break cases.
