HTML HTML Basics Getting Started with HTML Lists and Links Challenge

I don't see where my code is wrong?

I keep getting the error that says I need to add a link to the second list item leading to 'pies.html', even though I'm fairly certain my code isn't wrong.

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Lists and Links</title> </head> <body> <ul> <a href="cakes.html"><li>Cakes</li></a> <a href="pies.html"><li>Pies</li></a> <a href="candy.html"><li>Candy</li></a> </ul>

</body> </html>

      <a href="cakes.html"><li>Cakes</li></a>
      <a href="pies.html"><li>Pies</li></a>

Hi there! You're doing great, but your list items and your links are a bit out of order. The only direct descendant of an unordered list that is allowed is a list item. This means that your links should be inside your list items. But instead, you have your list items inside your links.

Take a look:

<!-- You wrote -->
  <a href="cakes.html"><li>Cakes</li></a>

<!-- That should be -->
<li><a href="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li>

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
