Python Introducing Tuples Getting to Know Tuples Creating Tuples

I dont understand :((

Can someone help

create_tuple.py
# insert your code here
my_tuple = 'I', 'love', 'python', 'item3'

1 Answer

# tuples are surrounded by parenthesis ()
my_tuple = ('I', 'love', 'python', 'item3')

ps. I missed that you are on 2nd step. remove 'item3'

my_tuple = ('I', 'love', 'python')

# You were asked to create a variable named item3 and assigned it the third element in my_tuple
# This is how you would do that
item3 = my_tuple[2]

You actually don't have to surround tuples with parentheses. Just separating the items with commas like what he's done is fine. https://docs.python.org/3.3/library/stdtypes.html?highlight=tuple#tuples
