Hi mo ode,

You are opening footer, article and header with no necessity and wrapping the remaining content within those tags. The latest paragraphs should be wrap using a footertag because they contain copyright information.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
    <title>My Portfolio</title>
  </head>
  <body>

    <header>
    <ul>
      <li><a href="#">About</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Work</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Contact</a></li>
    </ul>
    <h1>My Web Design &amp; Development Portfolio!</h1>
    </header>

    <section>
    <h2>Welcome</h2>
    <p>A site featuring my latest work.</p>
    <ul>
      <li><a href="#">Recent project #1</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Recent project #2</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Recent project #3</a></li>
    </ul>
    </section>

    <footer>
     <p>Fusce semper id ipsum sed scelerisque. Etiam nec elementum massa. Pellentesque tristique ex ac ipsum hendrerit, eget feugiat ante faucibus.</p>
    <p>&copy; 2017 My Portfolio</p>
    <p>Follow me on <a href="#">Twitter</a>, <a href="#">Instagram</a> and <a href="#">Dribbble</a></p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Please let me know if you get stuck.

The question asks for proper use of section tag between the header and the footer.

<!--you've been asked to divide the coding into parts-->
<!--<by wrapping them within appropriate tags-->

you have got too many headers, and footer is put at the wrong place,
suggest you restart the challenge
