i don't understand what i am to do here

please explain why i am not getting past this stage

So your code got a little redundant with the sections in the header and footer so I deleted those. Then it was not asking for the two article tags you put around the unordered list so i deleted those as well. What it was asking for you to do is to add a section tag around everything thats not in the header and footer. Like so,
