I get a error called "No overload for method 'SetFloat' takes '1' arguments". What does this mean?

Can someone please help? I do not understand why I get the error "No overload for method 'SetFloat' takes '1' arguments".

using UnityEngine;
using System.Collections;

public class PlayerMovement : MonoBehaviour
{

    private Animator playerAnimator;
    private float moveHorizontal;
    private float moveVertical;
    private Vector3 movement;

    // Use this for initialization
    void Start()
    {
        playerAnimator = GetComponent<Animator>();
    }

    // Update is called once per frame
    void Update()
    {
        moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxisRaw("Horizontal");
        moveVertical = Input.GetAxisRaw("Vertical");

        movement = new Vector3(moveHorizontal, 0.0f, moveVertical);
    }

    void FixedUpdate()
    {
        if (movement != Vector3.zero)
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed, 3f");
        }
        else
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed, 0f");
        }
    }

}

Hi there! Your quotation marks are a little misplaced. You've written:

 if (movement != Vector3.zero)
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed, 3f");
        }
        else
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed, 0f");
        }

I feel fairly sure it should be:

 if (movement != Vector3.zero)
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed", 3f);
        }
        else
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed", 0f);
        }

The SetFloat method accepts several combinations of arguments as documented here. However, you're sending in a single string because ot the quote misplacement which isn't a valid number/type argument combination. Try moving those quotes and see if it helps! :sparkles:
