I set the href attribute of the second anchor tag to "pies.html" and it is saying I did not, but I definitely did.

Help

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <ul>
      <a href="cakes.html"><li>Cakes</li></a>
      <a href="pies.html"><li>Pies</li></a>
      <a href="candy.html"><li>Candy</li></a>
    </ul>

It's almost a right of passage to get this challenge wrong, and wrong in the exact same way you did! List items should be direct descendants of the unordered list tags. This means the anchor elements should be nested inside the list item elements:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <ul>
      <li><a href="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li>
      <li><a href="pies.html">Pies</a></li>
      <li><a href="candy.html">Candy</a></li>
    </ul>
  </body>
</html>
