Maybe I'm putting it in the wrong spot... it's probably a simple fix and I'm just not registering. haha

11,110 Pointsyou have right but whot about <header> </header> or <section></section> or <main> </main> or <footer></footer> or <aside>
by using header TAG you telling to browser this is Head of my site and usualy in Header there is <nav> but not necessery and in this case its better put <header> or <section> why ? because h and p tags :)
PS in your case :

Body -> Header -> Nav :) usuely order :) i have never saw Body -> Nav if you have saw it then its not HTML 5 CODE :)

11,110 Pointsi m glad to help :) better check teach notes :) they always give reffer to MDN Mozila Dev and there are all RULES to be HTML 5 CODE :)
