When you want to set an image as the background, use the background-image attribute. To prevent tiling, you set background-repeat to no-repeat. To center the background image in its parent element, use background-position set to center. Use a background-size of 'cover' to fill the div, and box-sizing : border-box to add the padding and borders into the total width and height.

Your code should look like this:

.wildlife {
  background-image: url('img/bear.jpg');
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
  background-position: center;
  background-size: cover;
  box-sizing: border-box;
}

Also, on your last .wildlife selector, check to make sure you put a semicolon after your width and border declarations:

width: 60%;
border: 10px;
