I'm missing something...

I'm missing something simple I feel, but I don't know what.

racecar.py
class RaceCar():

    def __init__(self, color, laps, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.laps = 0
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        self.__dict__.update(kwargs)

    def run_lap(self, length):
        self.length = length
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining - (length*0.125)
        self.laps = laps + 1

Yes, you're definitely missing some simple things.

On your run_lap method you need to perform the math on the right side of the equation with self.fuel_remaining and self.laps. You also need to remove the self.length = length line.

You can also remove the parenthesis from the class and laps from your __init__ parameters.

Really great job, sometimes little things like these just need a second pair of eyes.

Here's my passing code:

class RaceCar:
    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        self.__dict__.update(kwargs)
        self.laps = 0

    def run_lap(self, length):
        self.fuel_remaining = self.fuel_remaining - (length * .125)
        self.laps = self.laps + 1
