I'm not sure why/how this coding isn't working.

I've placed the correct coding for the second task but the "pies.html" anchor is coming up with a "bummer" alert.

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>
  <ul>
    <a href="cakes.html"><li>Cakes</li></a>
    <a href="pies.html"><li>Pies</li></a>
    <a href="candy.html"><li>Candy</li></a>
    </ul>
  </body>
</html>

Hi Victoria Hayes

In this case you want the words in the list items to be links, so the anchor tag/s go inside the li tags. Make sense?

To make this a link it must be nestled in the <li> tag.. Try this below.

<ul> <li> <a href="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li> <li> <a href="pies.html">Pies</a></li> <li> <a href="candy.html">Candy</a></li> </ul>

Hi Victoria I think u should check out the digital literacy track. U will basic understanding of coding , programming languages ,how computer works. Hope this helps
