In a for statement, why cannot we use object.items to call only for a key or for a value?

In this code, student = {'name': 'Craig', 'major': 'Computer Science', 'credits': 36}

for key in student.items(): print(key)

using student.items is incorrect. Could someone please walk me thorugh as to why it is not right?

Hi, the items() method is used to retrieve both keys and values, so using the keys() method is the solution to get only the key in the dictionary
