Is it hard to get a job as a remote developer?

I want to get a job as a remote developer. I have been told I need years of experience. I am from Canada, but right now I live in Taiwan. Is it better for me to just apply to a regular company before trying to go remote? thanks

Remote jobs have their pros and cons. If you're just starting out, getting a remote job can be challenging because you need to be able to work independently with little help. Many employers won't take that chance on an entry level developer. If you're open to maintaining several contract jobs, you can typically work from wherever you please.
