It's clearly unclear to me just what is expected here.

I've tried using the vanilla "Hello, my name is...". I've also used other methods covered in the video and none appear to be working.

Unfortunately my issue is not with the first task of this exercise. It's with the second. My text is String firstName = "Brent";

that's not the problem, it's when I get to step 2 that I start running into a wall.

In 2nd tast you have to use string format not to concatenate.

So your code suppose to look like this.

String firstName = "YourNameHere";

console.printf("YourNameHere can code in Java!");
