Learning Java and Python

I am learning Java for my class. But I want to learn python for my own interest. Should I do that or should I complete java course before I learned python? Any suggestion. thanks!

Hi there,

Honestly, that's really a question only you would be able to answer. Everyone learns differently and has different learning abilities.
If you feel you can commit the time to learn both, then go for it. I actually did Java and Python together with some JavaScript thrown in too. Sometimes you may mix up the syntax from one to the other, but I found that really enhanced the learning of the languages. I'd make a mistake and then realize ... "oh that's for Python not Java" and that syntax would stick much better now.

The worst that could happen is that you realize that learning both may not work. Then you focus on one and then the other. No worries.
