Make the text inside each list item a link. The first item should link to cakes.html, the second to pies.html

I have tried every code I can think of and everything seems to be in order but nothing is coming up right. please somebody give me some insights of what I am doing wrong here...thanks in advance.

Hello as Ari Misha said you're really close. The problem si in your second and third li tags because you must put something into <a> tag and in this chellenge it si the words Cakes, Pies and Candy. The right second line looks like this:

<li><a href="pies.html">Pies</a></li>

Was it helpful? You can give me some points :)

Hiya Carlos! You're close. You've to put texts in anchor tags in order to make 'em links. In second and third list tags, tags are outside of your anchor tag. Squeeze 'em in your anchor tags and you're good to go. (:
