Microsoft word - working with repeated text so you only need to make one change?

I wonder if anyone knows how to do this. I am working on a very long word document.

Upfront, there are some fixed bullet points of text that will then be repeated numerous times throughout parts of the word document.

I'd like to make it so that if i change those bullet points upfront, the same text throughout the document will update.

Is this possible in word?

It would be the same as being in excel and saying e.g. cell B4 =A3

I don't know any way to create automatic references in Word like you can in Excel, but whenever you make a change you can always do a "find and replace" operation that will change all similar bits of text at once.
