Mobile responsive

Hi,Im using a mobile first approach. For tablets sizes I'm using the media query: min-width(7oopx) and laptops 1050px how ever my design does not swicth on mobile devices.It works on PC if a resize the viewport but when I checked the chrome develeper tools for mobile reposnse and actually view it on my phone it does not work.I learnt this method from the CSS course.Please Assist Thank you!
