It is alarming that I am that old that knowing that Gordon Sumner (not Summer!) is the guy called Sting who is the front-man of the band called The Police.

The solution looks something like:

String firstName = "Gordon";

String lastName = "Sumner";

console.printf("Hello %s", firstName);

String band = console.readLine("Which band?  ");

Steve.

Answer = "The Police"!!

'$s' should be %s and you need:

import java.io.console;
Console console = System.console();

before your code.

So i put this and it didn't work

import java.io.console; ConsoleΒ consoleΒ = System.Console();

band = console.readLine("Which band? , %s");

Sorry, it looks like I accidentally capitalized the 'c' in System.console(). . .

Fixed!!
