Not sure what im missing

Im a little lost. It works in work space if i run:

mop = S()

print(mop.str(mop.pattern))

morse.py
class Letter:
    def __init__(self, pattern=None):
        self.pattern = pattern

    def __str__(self, pattern):
        out = []
        for i in pattern:
            if i == ".":
                out.append("dot")
            elif i == "_":
                out.append("dash")
        return "-".join(out)

class S(Letter):
    def __init__(self):
        pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
        super().__init__(pattern)

You're really close! But the "__str__" method should have only one parameter ("self"). The "pattern" to use is the one already stored internally in the instance (as "self.pattern").
