231,236 PointsSetting the flex-grow property (which is what the first argument to flex represents) causes the element to expand and take up all available extra space. Since the container's (the body's) height is set to 100vh (100% of the viewport), this guarantees that the footer will get placed at the bottom of the screen.
To illustrate this, you could set the container height to some fixed size instead, and the expansion would fill that explicit height instead of the screen.
