numbers won't increment. tested different ways to write the code on workspace and they all print the answer but not here

There's a few issues to resolve here:

  • since val = val + 1 only happens once, and before the loop, that value won't change inside the loop
  • you could use the loop variable (i) as the source of the incrementing values
  • if you use the loop variable, you won't need to create a separate variable (val)
  • the range in this code has a stop value of 11, but the instructions asked for "a stop value of 10"
