You didnt put a ; after line-height: 1.6 in the previous section. This is probably causing parsing problems.

also in the html < p class="intro" needs a closing bracket

Fix both of those and i think it should work.

EDIT: now the paragraph part shows up. sorry, this is my first post and I haven't reviewed the markdown cheatsheet yet.

Josh is right that you didn't put a semi-colon after the line height value of 1.6. your css should be:

.intro{
  font-size: 1.25em;
  line-height: 1.6;
}

.intro span{
  font-weight: bold;
   font-style: italic;
}

However, that alone isn't the problem. In the html, the opening p tag is missing the > and the closing p tag only has a >. So, if you fix that, you should be good.

<p class="intro">
        Lake Tahoe is one of the most <span>breathtaking attractions</span> located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
  </p>

Thanks! Don't know how I missed that, but everything is working great now.
