Treehouse TeacherHi there, Maximillion Archibald! The variables name
and food
are not defined inside that method. The food is set on the class and the name was defined when we created the panda along with the age. Obviously, not every panda has the same name.
What you're looking for is self.name
and self.food
which refers to the particular panda we're talking about.
For instance:
panda_one = Panda("Bandit", 4)
panda_two = Panda("Fluffy", 2)
Those create two new instances of panda. The first one is named "Bandit" and is four years-old. The second is named "Fluffy" and is 2 years-old. So printing out print(panda_one.name)
will print "Bandit" while print(panda_two.name)
will print "Fluffy".
Hope this helps!
