Hi, MUZ140564 Kudakwashe Jena

Add an if statement that checks to see if firstExample is equal to secondExample. If it is, print out "first is equal to second".

we use the == sign to compare equality in Java.

// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

if (firstExample == secondExample) {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
}

thanks but how about if the first example is not equal to the second example.

if you wanna compare the inequality, you can use the !=

if (firstExample != secondExample) {

like such.

thanks.
