PHP Multidimensional Array Code Challenge

Hi,

I'm stumped on how to combine the html list items with the php in the final part of this challenge.

My tests are commented in the code at the bottom.

Thanks! -Robert

PS: this is the first time using "Ask a Question". The "attach my code to this project" was checked. If my code isn't here, please let me know. Thanks.

index.php
<?php
//edit this array
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Alena Holligan',
  'email' => 'alena.holligan@teamtreehouse.com',
];
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Dave McFarland',
  'email' => 'dave.mcfarland@teamtreehouse.com',
];
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Treasure Porth',
  'email' => 'treasure.porth@teamtreehouse.com',
];
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Andrew Chalkley',
  'email' => 'andrew.chalkley@teamtreehouse.com',
];

echo "<ul>\n";
//$contacts[0] will return 'Alena Holligan' in our simple array of names.
echo "<li>" $contacts[0]['name'] . ': ' . $contacts[0]['email'] "</li>\n"; //test1
echo "<li><?php $contacts[1]['name'] . ": " $contacts[1]['email'] ?></li>\n"; //test 2
echo $contacts[2]['name'] . ": " . $contacts[2]['email'] "\n";
echo "<li>$contacts[3]['name'] : $contacts[3]['email']</li>\n";
echo "</ul>\n";

Hello!

Test 1 looks pretty close, but there seems to be some missing syntax.

When concatenating hard coded strings and variables together make sure you are using a period between basically everything like so...

echo "<li>" . $contacts[0]['name'] . " : " . $contacts[0]['email'] . "</li>\n";

Hope that helps!

Thanks Zachary.
Like you said, now I see I forgot to concatenate the <li> itself.
Appreciate the fast response! -Robert
