Hello!
I work as part of a freelancer team of Designers. I'm the only developer amongst them and build all of the websites. We use Wordpress as the main CMS but I've also built a CMS of my own. We work on websites from basic information based sites to large Web Apps. I've also worked with C# on Unity creating small projects.
As I've worked I've picked up a wide range of languages such as PhP, Python, .net, Javascript and so on. But I feel as though I'm not a master of any of them but rather just OK with them. I'm able to hold my own with each language but I can't move into more "experienced" projects.
Would it be better to pick a favourite and focus more on that language rather than such a wide range? Sort of a speciality? I know people who obsess over Java or PhP. Would that make a programmer more desired than someone who can just cover a large amount of languages but couldn't really hold down a complex project to a certain point.
So my question, do you have a "speciality"?
