CSS CSS Basics (2014) Basic Selectors Descendant Selectors

Please help! I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have been stuck on this question for weeks!

 header span {
       font-size: 26px
   }

I keep receiving this message no matter what I change the code to.

Mod edit: added code formatting for readability. Check out the "markdown cheatsheet" linked below the comment box for how to format your code.

Here is the message I receive. "Make sure you are not using a class selector for 'header'"

Hey Amber,

It looks like a space snuck in right before header which is probably tripping up the quiz. Check to make sure that there isn't a space at the start of your answer in the challenge and try to submit your answer again.

Thank you. There was a space but the quiz still isn't passing me.

Hmm -- I just copied your code, removed the space, and it let me pass. Here's exactly what I entered:

header span {
       font-size: 26px
   }

If this doesn't work try hitting the "restart" button and entering it again.

Looks like you forgot the ";" after 26px ;)

Thanks everyone! I finally got it!
