Problem adding a button on the "Create a select menu" challenge.

I keep getting "Bummer! You need to add a <button> element within the form." but I can't see anything wrong with my code:

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>HTML Forms</title> </head> <body>

<form action="index.html" method="post">
  <h1>Shirt Order Form</h1>
  <label for="color">Shirt Color</label>
  <select id="color" name="shirt_color">
    <option value="red">Red</option>
    <option value="yellow">Yellow</option>
    <option value="purple">Purple</option>
    <option value="blue">Blue</option>
    <option value="green">Green</option>
    <option value="orange">Orange</option>

    <button type="submit">Place Order</button>
</form>

</body> </html>

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

Based on the code above you appear to be missing the ending </select> before your button element.

Many thanks, not sure how I missed that!

Hello, you must close your select element
